Hyderabad(Dec, 14) : The new High Court building for Telangana is set to take shape as the foundation stone laying ceremony is scheduled for January. The Chief Minister, A. Revanth Reddy, has directed officials to make necessary preparations for this significant event. The decision to construct the new building on a spacious 100-acre site in Rajendranagar was made in response to concerns about the deteriorating condition of the current High Court building.
Chief Justice Alok Aaradhe and lawyers emphasized the need for a new structure during a review meeting with the Chief Minister. In a positive response, the Chief Minister agreed to allocate the required funds and instructed officials to make the necessary arrangements.
Additionally, there were appeals for the construction of court complexes in new districts, and the Chief Minister assured support for such initiatives. Recognizing the heritage value of the present High Court building, the Chief Minister affirmed plans to renovate it for use as a city court or other court facilities. The Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to CM, district Collectors, and other officials were present at the review meeting to discuss and plan these developments.
