Many Migrant Workers of Odisha rescued by CID

35 Migrant Workers of Odisha with 7 children rescued by Telangana police and revenue labour department from Kamareddy District On 10 April 2023, on input from ADG CID Mahesh Bhagwat-IPS & supervision of Collector Kamareddy and SP kamareddy

Telangana : A team of Inspector CID RO Nizamabad Venkateswara Rao, Kamareddy District Additional SP Anoyonya, Domkonda SI Sudhakar, Bikanur CI Thirupathaih, Tehsildar Smt Kaushika, Labor Officer Surendra Kumar raided the RRB brick kiln at Chintamanepalli village of Domkonda Mandal and rescued 7 children, 13 men , 15 women. Total 35 Odisha migrant workers from Brickkiln.

All 35 natives rescued, 2 from Subarnapur district, 3 from Nuapada district, 30 natives from Balangir district went back to Odisha with 7 children. Legal action is being taken against the owner of the brick kiln. ADGP CID Mahesh Bhagwat-IPS has appreciated synergy of all stakeholders police/revenue/labour/Civil society. Addl SP J Venkateshwarlu incharge RO CID Nizamabad has supervised entire operation. In Odisha Umi Daniel of Aid et Action NGO coordinating for reintegration of rescued migrants.

Today ( 11/04/2023) once again CID Telangana received information about Odia migrant workers from Padampur being harassed and trapped by a brick-kiln owner in Peddapalli through social media.

ADGP CID directed the concerned officers directly, and Police/Revenue/Labor rescued 6 migrants, 4Male, 1Child, 2Female natives of Bargarh District from NBC Brickkiln, Goureddipeta, Peddapalli District and CID Inspector Tirupati Reddy, Peddapalli SI Rajesh, RI Naveen repatriated by Revenue, Labor Officer Rammohan appreciated by CP Ramagundam
