KTR Slams Revanth Reddy, Accuses Congress of Betraying Telangana

Hyderabad : Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao launched a scathing attack on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him and the Congress party of betraying the trust of the people with false promises and ineffective governance.

Speaking at a BRS workers’ meeting in Malkajgiri, KTR alleged that the Congress government has failed to deliver on its pre-election commitments, causing widespread distress among the public.

“Believing a fraudster once is a mistake. Falling for him again becomes our mistake,” KTR said, urging voters to reject Congress in the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections and beyond.

“Revanth Celebrates While Telangana Suffers”

KTR criticized Revanth Reddy for what he described as misplaced celebration amid worsening conditions in the state. He claimed that even Congress’s own ministers, MLAs, and cadre were unhappy with the party’s functioning.

He lauded Malkajgiri MLA Rajasekhar Reddy for his proactive leadership and public service, citing his efforts in tackling civic issues such as dumping yards and his protests against government negligence.

“Rajasekhar Reddy has shown how electing a good leader can bring visible change,” he remarked.

Calls for Accountability: “Time to Teach Delhi Parties a Lesson”

Positioning the BRS as the true voice of Telangana, KTR urged people to hold both the Congress and BJP accountable in the upcoming local body elections.

“It’s time to send a strong message. BRS alone stands for Telangana’s identity and future,” he asserted.

BRS Silver Jubilee Celebrations on April 27

KTR also extended an invitation to party members and supporters to participate in the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the BRS, scheduled for April 27. He highlighted the significance of the occasion, noting that BRS has become only the second party in Telugu states to complete 25 years of political journey.

“This is not just a celebration of the past, but a moment to reaffirm our commitment to the people of Telangana,” he said.

Before the meeting, a grand rally in Malkajgiri welcomed KTR with much fanfare. Several senior leaders from Congress and BJP reportedly joined the BRS, further strengthening its local presence.
