“Kanti Velugu” Camp at Methodist College of Engineering and Technology

Hyderabad (May, 5): Methodist College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) Abids, Hyderabad, in association with the Universal Health Care (UHC) of the Government of Telangana, organised a free eye camp called “Kanti Velugu” on 5th May 2023 at Seminar Hall, Block D, Methodist College of Engineering and Technology. The event was coordinated by the Department of MBA and NSS Cell (National Service Scheme) of MCET.

The programme was a huge success with over 200 students, staff and ministerial employees of MCET benefited from the eye camp. The camp aimed to provide free eye care services to those in need eye related issues and create awareness about the importance of eye health.

Dr. Prabhu G Benakop, Principal of MCET, praised the efforts of the MBA department and NSS cell for conducting such a noble event. The Director, Dr. Lakshmipathi Rao, the MBA Head of Department, Dr. M. Sujatha, NSS Programme Officer, D. Bharat Naik, PRO, R. Srikanth, and MBA faculty, along with student volunteers, played a crucial role in making this event a success.

During the camp, faculty, students and ministerial employees of MCET received free eye glasses and expressed their happiness and gratitude for the initiative taken by the college. The event was successful in creating awareness about eye health and encouraging people to take care of their eyes.

The resounding success of the “Kanti Velugu” eye camp is a clear reflection of the unwavering dedication and relentless efforts of the organizers and volunteers who worked tirelessly to bring this event to fruition. It is indeed heartening to see the college take up initiatives that contribute towards the betterment of society, and we hope to see more such noble endeavors in the future, which can positively impact the lives of people and to the society.
