Hyderabad(Nov, 14) : In a recent case of alleged violation against the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), accused individuals A-1 and A-2 face charges of wrongful restraint, public nuisance, and breaching the MCC rules. The incident took place on 14-11-2023 at 11:15 AM in Street No-1, Maruthi Nagar, Champapet area, falling within the jurisdiction of IS Sadan Police Station, Hyderabad.
Accused persons A-1 (Vanga Madhusudan Reddy, Corporator, BJP Party) and A-2 (Srinivas Reddy) reportedly engaged in door-to-door canvassing without obtaining permission from the Returning Officer of the 049-L. B Nagar Assembly constituency, a clear violation of the MCC regulations. The complaint was lodged by Bagalkote Srikanth, an Office Superintendent, leading to a case registered under Cr. No 250/2023 U/sec 341, 188, 171(H) IPC & Sec. 21/76 CP Act.
The investigating officer has issued a notice to the accused, instructing them to appear when required, and the investigation is being conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police, B.
