Hyderabad : On June 13, 2024, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, IPS, convened a coordination meeting in preparation for the upcoming Bakrid festival. The meeting, held at Salarjung Museum Auditorium, saw the participation of key figures including Vikram Singh Mann, Addl. CP Law & Order, V. Satyanarayana, Addl. CP Head Quarters and Training, and Amrapali, IAS, Incharge Commissioner of GHMC. Also present were political leaders, Moulvis, Qureshis, Ulemas, police officers from City Police, and officials from waterworks, electricity, Animal Husbandry, and Veterinary departments.
During the meeting, Commissioner Reddy assured all stakeholders of full cooperation from the Police department to ensure a peaceful Bakrid. He emphasized adherence to rules and regulations, affirming that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands. Officials from GHMC, electricity, and waterworks departments pledged uninterrupted support to facilitate a peaceful and successful festival.
Commissioner Reddy further assured that law and order arrangements would be meticulously planned to enable all community members to celebrate Bakrid without any concerns.
