Hyderabad Police Commissioner Chairs High-Level Meeting Ahead of Elections

Hyderabad(Oct, 15) : In anticipation of the upcoming elections, Commissioner of Police Hyderabad, Sandeep Shandilya, IPS, convened a comprehensive meeting that included DCPs, Addl. DCPs, ACPs, Inspectors from various zones, and the Task Force. The discussions centered around a range of crucial topics, including the categorization of police stations into A, B, and C categories, the sanctioned strength of each police station, and the preparations for the elections.

A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to election preparedness, encompassing the enforcement of regulations related to cash, liquor, freebies, drugs/ganja, and precious metals. Discussions also covered issues pertaining to MCC (Model Code of Conduct) violations, the execution of Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs), bound-overs, arms deposit, action against rowdy sheeters, vulnerability mapping, critical polling locations, critical polling stations, and the establishment of a Zonal Election Cell.

The law and order police received clear instructions aimed at ensuring the forthcoming elections are conducted without any bias or prejudice. Officers were directed to take firm and necessary actions to maintain peace and security during the electoral process, adhering to the Model Code of Conduct. A thorough review was conducted of the Task Force’s performance in the preceding 15 days.

Additionally, the 90 flying squads operating across the 15 MLA constituencies in Hyderabad were tasked with carrying out their responsibilities diligently and responsibly. To emphasize the importance of impartiality, all officers were urged to act in a manner that upholds the principles of being “Free, Fair, and Firm.” Any lapses in discharging their duties would result in rigorous disciplinary actions.
