Hyderabad(Sep, 7):Â The Hyderabad City Police recently hosted an inter-department coordination meeting at the Auditorium, in collaboration with the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi and TSPiCCC Banjara Hills, to ensure the smooth execution of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Scheduled to be celebrated from September 18th, with the final immersion of idols on the 28th, the meeting witnessed the presence of prominent figures including CV Anand, City Police Commissioner, Ronald Rose, GHMC Commissioner, D.S. Chouhan, CP Rachakonda, Stephen Ravindra, CP Cyberabad, and Bhagya Nagar Utsav Samithi General Secretary, Bhagawantha Rao, along with other officials and representatives.
During the discussion, members of the Bhagyanagar Utsav Samithi raised various concerns, such as the need for addressing potholes, improving illumination at specific locations, facilitating vehicles and tuskers for Mandapam organizers, and ensuring adequate water and food arrangements during the immersion process. The authorities acknowledged these concerns and committed to addressing them by deploying necessary resources.
The attendees commended the efforts of the police, GHMC, and other departments involved in the festival preparations. CP Anand emphasized the importance of coordination and information exchange among the three police commissionerates and urged community representatives to comply with court orders related to idol immersions
GHMC Commissioner Ronald provided insights into road repair, illumination, and other preparations, including the creation of baby ponds and excavation ponds. A coordination booklet containing contact numbers of all department officers will be distributed to stakeholders. CPs Rachakonda and Cyberabad also addressed the gathering, emphasizing cooperation with the police.
