Revanth Reddy Criticizes Modi’s Promises and Name Change Agenda at Anniversary Event
Hyderabad(Sep, 7):Â On the one-year anniversary of AICC supremo Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, a grand procession marked the occasion, starting from the Rajiv Gandhi statue in Somajiguda, Hyderabad, and concluding at the Indira Gandhi statue on Necklace Road. Speaking at the event, Revanth Reddy criticized Prime Minister Modi for failing to fulfill his promise of providing two crore jobs per year. Reddy also questioned Modi’s decision to change the country’s name, suggesting it’s an attempt to avoid using the term “India alliance.” He pointed out that Modi spends more time criticizing Congress than addressing issues like rising prices and the situation in Manipur in Parliament.
Revanth Reddy emphasized Congress’s historical contributions, including Hyderabad’s liberation from the Nizam kings and the party’s role in India’s independence. He questioned whether it was the Congress or Jawaharlal Nehru who granted Telangana independence. Reddy highlighted Rahul Gandhi’s 135-day Bharat Jodo Yatra, promoting peace and unity against the divisive politics of the BJP government. He called for support to bring the Congress party back to power in Telangana and criticized the alleged efforts to obstruct Congress meetings and intimidate officials by the BJP and the BRS government.
