Hyderabad(Jan, 22) :Â The Governor of Telangana and Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, commended the unwavering commitment of the State Bank of India (SBI) staff in the Hyderabad Circle (Telangana State) for their commendable donation of Rs. 34,16,750/- to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. In a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Rajesh Kumar, Chief General Manager of SBI Hyderabad Circle, presented the substantial contribution to the Governor. Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, also the Chairperson of the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, was accompanied by Colonel Ramesh Kumar, Director of Sainik Welfare (Telangana), and Jitendra Kumar Sharma, DGM & CDO.
Expressing her gratitude, the Governor praised the SBI employees for their altruistic act, describing it as a noble cause that would undoubtedly inspire other organizations and citizens to follow suit. She acknowledged SBI’s consistent and valuable support, emphasizing its role in promoting the welfare of war veterans, ex-servicemen, war widows, and their dependents. The generous contribution from the SBI staff reflects a shared commitment to honoring and supporting the Armed Forces, highlighting the bank’s ongoing dedication to social responsibility and community welfare.
