New Delhi : The Sirajuddin Qureshi panel has announced the names of the entire team, including the president and vice president, for the India Islamic Cultural Center elections. Sirajuddin Qureshi, while addressing a press conference at Okhla Hotel River View, stated that this election is a fight to save the dignity and greatness of the Islamic Center, and they will not step back at all. He emphasized that in recent times, not only has the reputation of the Islamic Center been weakened and its image and greatness damaged, but crores of rupees have also been lost due to court cases and the expenses of the supervisor team.
Qureshi called on those who care about the country and the nation, and who consider the Islamic Center an institution of both, to come forward to protect its dignity. He further criticized those who took the matter of the Center’s Special General Body Meeting to court, labeling them as culprits of the Islamic Center who cannot be forgiven. Qureshi asserted that his panel, composed of eminent people, is dedicated to restoring the Islamic Center’s glory and ensuring its bright future.
Sirajuddin Qureshi announced that Dr. Majid Ahmed Talikoti, a renowned cancer surgeon known globally for his excellent services over the last 25 years, has been chosen for the position of President. Renowned educationist Kalimul Hafeez will be the candidate for the post of Vice President.
Qureshi himself is contesting for a position as a member of the Board of Trustees. Former Chief Secretary Dr. MA Ibrahimi is also included among the candidates for the Board of Trustees. Other candidates for the Board of Trustees include former President of Jamshedji Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys Mohammad Irshad Ahmed, Safia Begum, Sartaj Ali, and Hafiz Matlab Karim.
Candidates for the Executive Committee are Shahana Begum, Samar Qureshi, Arif Hussain, and Mohammad Salman Waris.
