Hyderabad : On July 25, 2024, the Secunderabad Railway Police, in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), conducted a surprise check at Secunderabad Railway Station, leading to the arrest of Krishna Baban Ambhore, a 21-year-old laborer from Maharashtra. Ambhore was apprehended while transporting 16.4 kg of dry ganja, valued at approximately Rs. 4,10,000, from Ichapuram in Andhra Pradesh to Jalna in Maharashtra.
The ganja was concealed in a trolley luggage bag and transported via Vishakha Express. The case has been registered under Cr.No.373/2024 U/s 8(c) r/w 20 (b) (ii) (B) of the NDPS Act. The operation, led by SHO B. Saieashwar Goud and other officers, was supervised by Chandana Deepti IPS and S.N. Jawed, DSRP SC(U). The IGP Railway and Road Safety, K. Ramesh Naidu IPS, commended the officers for their successful operation and announced that they would be suitably rewarded.
