Dr S Jaishankar cleverly evaded to clarify if Indian territory, under Modi’s regime, is occupied by China or not? : Dasoju

Hyderabad(Sep, 3): Dr. S. Jaishankar’s recent response to questions regarding Chinese territorial occupation under Prime Minister Modi’s administration has raised concerns. His reluctance to provide a clear stance on whether Indian territory is currently occupied by China is troubling. Moreover, his attempts to downplay Chinese intrusion and the construction of villages in Arunachal Pradesh and other Indian territories by attributing them to previous governments are seen as irresponsible and an attempt to legitimize these actions.

It is essential for the government to be transparent about the current state of Indian territory and not divert attention by referencing past administrations. In a democracy, national security is a matter of grave concern for all citizens, not just the ruling party. When the government claims that India is respected internationally, it becomes crucial for all Indians to understand the true extent of Modi Ji’s international diplomacy and the land lost to China.

While the specifics of troop deployment may not be necessary, every citizen has the right to know if their land is being protected or encroached upon. Past governments’ actions should not serve as an excuse for the current government to withhold information that is essential to the nation’s security and well-being. Transparency and accountability are fundamental principles in a democratic society.
