Controversy Erupts as Udhayanidhi Stalin Compares Sanatan Dharma to Diseases

Hyderabad(Sep, 3): The remarks made by Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin regarding Sanatan Dharma have drawn strong condemnation from Telangana state BJP official spokesperson N V Subhash. Subhash criticized the young minister, asserting that he lacks an understanding of Indian culture and tradition.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, who also happens to be the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, faced sharp criticism for comparing ancient Sanatan Dharma to diseases, a comparison Subhash found inappropriate. Subhash questioned whether Udhayanidhi Stalin truly comprehends Sanatan Dharma, emphasizing that Sanatan Dharma is not a disease but rather a timeless tonic that enriches the knowledge of its followers and helps control and eradicate various societal issues.

He further alleged that Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks were merely an attempt to gain publicity and suggested that such comments indicate an agenda against Sanatan Dharma among some political allies. In essence, Sanatan Dharma signifies a timeless civilization, and the knowledge associated with it is described as “sanatana” in the Gita, meaning timeless and enduring.
