Hyderabad(April 10) : Telangana Students Action for Vacancies and Employment(T-SAVE) proposed by YSR Telangana Party held its inaugural roundtable meeting in Hyderabad on Monday and announced that a daylong hunger strike by all parties and likeminded organisations would be held at Indira Park on April 17.

The meeting was attended by the representatives from diverse political and ideological backgrounds. The List included YS Sharmila, YSRTP senior leader Gattu Ramachandra Rao, Congress spokesperson Addanki Dayakar, balladeer and activist Gaddar, and NSUI leader Balmoori Venkat, among others. Representatives from several organisations and institutions that included students rights, tribal rights, and many others too extended their support to T-SAVE and vowed to fight under T-SAVE for the sake of students and youth.

Welcoming the participants and thanking them for their support, YS Sharmila blamed both the state and Central governments for failing to meet the expectations of the students and the unemployed youth. “KCR has failed to create a single job during this period, and despite creating new districts and mandals, no effort has been made to fill the vacancies and meet the growing administrative needs. This figure is close to 4 lakh, while the Biswal Committee’s recommendation to fill 1.91 lakh vacancies has gone unheeded. Inside the Vidhansabha the CM imposes 80000 vacancies, then hardly 40000 jobs are notified and finally the exam is conducted for 8000 posts. After the paper leak, their future is also uncertain”.

“We will all stage a hunger strike for a day at Indira Park to bring this government to task, put pressure and force them to deliver justice to the youth.”

On the occasion, we demand that the Biswal Committee recommendations be immediately implemented, and a CBI enquiry be called to look into the paper leakages. If KCR fails, why doesn’t the BJP government launch the CBI probe?

T-SAVE also demands that the Central government give a clarity on its commitment to 2 crore jobs annually. They have deceived Telangana on IIM, coach factory, steel factory, tribal university and many other bifurcation related promises. These would have generated employment for the state youth.

On the occasion, T-SAVE logo was released.
