Hyderabad : Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to increase the wages of 1,06,474 sanitation workers across the state by Rs.1,000 (one thousand) per month as a ‘May Day’ gift. Apart from GHMC, Metro Water Works, Municipal Corporations, Municipalities and Gram Panchayats of the state, The CM said that the increased wages will come into effect immediately.
The CM said that the state government is committed to their welfare and development by recognizing the efforts and sacrifices of sanitation workers since the formation of Telangana state with the slogan ‘Safayanna niku salaam Anna‘. He said that the state government is committed to the welfare of every single worker who works hard in the state. The CM said that soon it has been decided to increase the salaries of the RTC workers in the state and the Finance Department has been directed to take appropriate measures in this regard.
He said that the efforts of sanitation workers are great in achieving qualitative development of Telangana villages and towns. The CM said that their efforts are hidden behind the awards being given to our villages and towns at the national and international level. The CM said that there is a clear difference between the past and present conditions in the villages and towns.
On this occasion, the CM expressed happiness that sanitation workers are also working with the same spirit of gratitude and participating in the development of the state.
