Hyderabad : Several victims have alleged that BSP State President Mandha Prabhakar, under the guise of running a voluntary organisation, has defrauded poor individuals and even his own party workers.
Victims claim that he, along with Malavi Karunodaya Society owner Konda Krishnamma, collected crores of rupees from them under false promises of housing, subsidies, and loans for dairy farming, agriculture, and fisheries through NABARD schemes.
On Saturday, hundreds of victims from across the Telangana State protested at the BSP State office, Lakdikapul in Hyderabad.
Holding placards, they demanded justice, action against Mandha Prabhakar and Konda Krishnamma, and the return of their money.
Victims like Palleti Ravinder, Gurrala Nagaiah, Mudigi Bhikshapathi and others spoke to the media, detailing how the duo collected amounts ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs.2 lakh per person, promising housing and financial aid through Malavi Karunodaya Society.
Ravinder revealed that Prabhakar had taken Rs.42 lakh from people in the Munugode Assembly constituency alone, assuring housing projects. However, even after two years, no houses were built, nor were loans sanctioned.
When confronted about the delay or asked for refunds, Prabhakar allegedly threatened the victims. Ravinder recounted an incident where Prabhakar warned him, saying, “Do you know who you are talking to? I am the State President. I will ruin your future and finish you off.”
Ravinder expressed fears for his life and urged the BSP national leadership to take this issue seriously and ensure justice for the victims.
Protesters demanded Prabhakar’s immediate removal from the BSP State President position, citing harm caused to marginalised communities. They also called upon the government to intervene urgently and recover their money.
