Hyderabad : BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao has accused both the BJP and Congress of conspiring to privatize Singareni Collieries Company Limited through the auctioning of coal mines in Telangana.
Speaking at a media conference at Telangana Bhavan, KTR criticized the Central Government’s decision to auction over 60 mines nationwide, including those in Singareni, instead of allocating them directly to the state enterprise. He also questioned the silence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress state government’s participation in the auction, despite their previous opposition and demands for direct allocation.
KTR urged Telangana MPs and central ministers to work toward canceling the auctions to protect the state’s interests, warning that the BRS would revoke any leases granted through the auction once they return to power.
