BJP Leader Bandi Sanjay Criticizes Telangana’s BRS for Alleged Corruption

Hyderabad(Aug, 10): Accusing the ruling BRS in Telangana of being a “Bhrastachar Rakshas Samithi” , Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary and Karimnagar MP, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, asserted on Thursday that the family of K. Chandrasekhar Rao had seized control of Telangana in a manner akin to a serpent encroaching upon an ant-hill.

He likened the transformation of the United Progressive Alliance into the I.N.D.I.A to the Telangana’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) becoming the “Bhrastachar Rakshas Samithi” – a label that speaks of corruption and malevolence. During the debate on a no-confidence motion against the NDA government in the Lok Sabha, Sanjay stated, “Its president KCR has proved himself to be Khasim Chandrasekhar Razvi. He has ruined Telangana State.”

Sanjay remarked that KCR’s activities seemed limited to alcohol consumption and seclusion within the confines of his palace, avoiding interaction with others. He accused the family of amassing significant wealth, with their fortunes expanding by 400 times in the past nine years. Contrasting this with the average annual income of a Telangana farmer at Rs. 1.12 lakh, Sanjay highlighted KCR’s income from agriculture exceeding Rs. 1 crore and his son’s income at Rs. 59.85 lakh.

Challenging the claims of free round-the-clock power supply to farmers by the BRS government, Sanjay called it misleading and invited the government to prove it. He also accused the KCR government of diverting central funds, including those for constructing toilets, and of selling free ration rice granted under MGNREGA.

The BJP leader expressed his discontent with KCR’s absence during various crises, including farmer suicides and student deaths. Sanjay also criticized Rahul Gandhi’s speech, likening him to a character from a Bollywood film.

Sanjay saluted the Parliament for granting statehood to Telangana and praised the efforts of late Sushma Swaraj in its formation. He lambasted the Congress for disrespecting the RSS and predicted the party’s downfall in Telangana’s upcoming elections due to its alliance with the BRS and MIM. He concluded by affirming that the opposition’s collective efforts cannot deter Modi’s transformative leadership of India.
