Amrapali Kata Appointed AP Tourism MD Amid Major IAS Cadre Changes

Hyderabad : The Andhra Pradesh government has made significant administrative changes by appointing several IAS officers from Telangana to key roles. Notably, Amrapali Kata, the former Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department, marking her first position within the AP cadre after her move from Telangana.

In addition to Kata, Vakati Karuna has been designated as the Commissioner of Family Welfare and Health, while Vani Mohan will take over as Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD). Vani Prasad has also received a new role as Principal Secretary of the Labor Department. Another officer, Ronald Rose, has transitioned to the AP cadre but is yet to be assigned a specific posting.
