Medak(July, 8) : An all-party meeting was organized by the Jamiat Ulama branch of District Medak in the Minority Function Hall of Medak town. The meeting aimed to raise awareness about the Sharia uniform civil code and protect the concept of a uniform civil code. Ulemas from District Kamaridi and District Medak actively participated in the meeting. Hafiz Md Faheemuddin Muniri, Vice President of Jamiat Ulama Telangana and Andhra, presided over the meeting, while Alhaj Hazrat Maulana Md Javeed Ali Hassami patronized it. Hafiz Syed Khawaja Moizuddin Imam Jamia Masjid supervised the proceedings. The meeting began with recitations by Hafiz Sheikh Nadeem Minhaji, and Hafiz Md Faseehuddin, delivered the opening remarks.
Mufti Imran Khan Qasmi, President of City Jamiat Ulama Kama Reddy, attended as the chief guest and provided a comprehensive introduction to the Uniform Civil Code. The meeting, conducted by Mufti Khawaja Sharif Mazaheri, President of Jamiat Ulema Medak, focused on highlighting the disadvantages associated with the Uniform Civil Code and the importance of expressing opinions to the Law Commission. Various individuals also sent emails to the Law Commission as part of an awareness campaign on this issue. Maulana Md Javeed Ali Husami openly opposed the Uniform Civil Code during his address, considering it as interference in the Shariat. Md Ferozuddin, Press Secretary of Jamiat Kamareddy, clarified that a committee of dedicated officials was formed on this occasion. The committee will conduct nationwide awareness campaigns at the local level, involving scholars, guardians, social workers, and up to the Law Commission. The message conveyed will strongly oppose the implementation of a uniform civil code, emphasizing the preservation of the country’s diverse civilization and the importance of practicing one’s own religion in social life. The meeting concluded with a prayer led by Mufti Sabir Ali Umar Qasmi. In addition to local imams, elders, and officials of welfare organizations, notable councilors and prominent figures such as Md Arif Ali Amjad, Md Samiuddin, Dr. Sufi Sujayat Ali, Md Basheeruddin, Congress Block President Md Hafeezuddin, Md Omer Khan, Md Hamid, Minority Town BRS Party President Khawaja Sohail Mohiuddin, MSSO President Medak Town Md Zubair Ahmed were also present at the meeting
