DGP Ravi Gupta Releases SOP Posters on New Laws
Hyderabad : To mark the historic implementation of three new criminal laws—the Indian Law Code, the Indian Civil Protection Code, and the Indian Evidence Act—effective from July 1st, DGP Ravi Gupta unveiled posters in English and Telugu. These posters, released at a special function at the DGP’s office, aim to raise awareness about the new laws and will be displayed at police stations across the state to guide citizens.
In addition, a comprehensive booklet on the standard operating procedure (SOP) has been released, consisting of 43 SOPs and 31 proformas. This new procedural law ensures clarity and uniformity for investigating officers across the state. Developed by the CID in collaboration with the Director of Prosecution, under the direction of CID Additional DGP Shikha Goel, these SOPs cover critical points to facilitate effective law enforcement.

A dedicated center has been established in the CID department to guide officers on the new laws, operational from 8 am today and continuously available.
All police officers across the state have been trained on the new laws. TGPA Director Abhilasha Bisht was congratulated for overseeing the training department. The Technical Department, supervised by Additional DGP V.V. Srinivasa Rao, also received commendation.
