Hyderabad(Jan, 30): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed a Press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, where several key resolutions and announcements were made. The assembly unanimously passed a resolution, delegating all authority for candidate selection to Kharge and the All India Congress Committee (AICC), reflecting a concerted effort to streamline the nomination process for Lok Sabha candidates. Applications for individuals aspiring to contest Lok Sabha seats are now being invited until the 3rd of March, marking a crucial step in the party’s electoral strategy. To ensure transparency and financial prudence, a special committee has been established for rigorous cost scrutiny.
Moreover, ministers and in-charges have been appointed for each of the 17 Parliament segments, demonstrating the party’s meticulous organizational approach. Criticizing the Modi government, Revanth Reddy highlighted unfulfilled promises and failures, particularly in addressing farmer distress and upholding democratic values. He denounced BJP’s alleged tactics of political manipulation, drawing parallels to incidents in Telangana and Manipur. Asserting the importance of Congress’s national leadership, Reddy emphasized the need for a leader like Rahul Gandhi to assume the role of Prime Minister. In the context of Telangana’s political landscape, he underscored the significance of Congress’s electoral success at both the state and national levels for the effective implementation of promised initiatives.
Notably, Reddy pledged accessibility to MLAs and leaders from opposing parties, signaling a commitment to dialogue and inclusive governance. Looking ahead, the government plans to release a white paper on the irrigation department, highlighting its commitment to transparency and accountability. Additionally, efforts to address irregularities and celebrate significant events, such as Gaddar Jayanti, reflect the government’s proactive stance on governance and public welfare.
