Hyderabad(Jan, 1): At the onset of the New Year, Bharat Rashtra Samiti Working President, K. Taraka Rama Rao, embarked on an impactful initiative by sharing a meal with sanitation workers, symbolizing solidarity and appreciation for their crucial role in maintaining cleanliness. In a heartening interaction, KTR not only inquired about the well-being of the workers but also took the time to celebrate the New Year festivities alongside them. The sanitation workers, moved by this humane gesture, expressed their gratitude, with many seizing the opportunity for selfies with KTR.
Reflecting on the occasion, KTR underscored the BRS government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of sanitation workers. He highlighted a significant three-fold wage increase, a testament to their pivotal contribution to the cleanliness of towns and villages. This salary boost, he emphasized, aims to enhance their living standards and recognition within society. Assuring continued support from the BRS party, KTR pledged to diligently address the concerns of sanitation workers.
In a bid to streamline communication, KTR suggested to GHMC mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi to collaborate closely with sanitation workers to address their specific issues. The workers, while expressing gratitude for the wage increase under the BRS regime, also raised pertinent concerns related to health and job security. They earnestly appealed to KTR for support in achieving expanded benefits on par with other outsourced workers employed by the government, underscoring the need for comprehensive welfare measures.
