TSRTC to Roll Out 200 New Diesel Buses for Commuters Ahead of Sankranti

Hyderabad(Dec, 22) : To enhance the commuting experience for the public, TSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation) is set to introduce 200 new diesel buses by Sankranti. With the state government’s support, the company aims to initiate the operation of 50 buses within a week. The recently inspected Lahari sleeper-cum-seater, Rajdhani AC, and express buses, led by TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar, IPS, showcase the commitment to providing better and comfortable travel options.

Emphasizing the surge in passenger traffic due to the free bus travel scheme for women, authorities have directed prompt deployment of the new buses. The TSRTC management plans to acquire over 2,000 buses in the next four to five months, including 400 Express, 512 Palle Luvam, 92 Lahari sleeper-cum-seater, and 56 AC Rajdhani buses. Additionally, 540 electric buses will be deployed in Hyderabad, with 500 more across Telangana, all expected to be operational by March next year.

The new buses boast various facilities, including LED boards displaying destination details and a Fire Detection Suppression System (FDSS) for enhanced safety. The proactive approach of TSRTC aims to elevate the overall travel experience for passengers.
