Sircilla(Oct, 17) : In a public meeting held in Sircilla, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao emphasized the commitment of the BRS Government to the welfare of the weaver community. He commended the efforts of his son, K.T. Rama Rao , in transforming the lives of weavers in Sircilla. CM KCR recalled the dire circumstances of weavers in Sircilla before the formation of Telangana and noted that he had seen messages on walls pleading with weavers not to commit suicide. Since then, Sircilla has made remarkable progress under the BRS government.
KCR highlighted the government’s responsibility to create employment opportunities for weavers and cited the initiation of the Bathukamma sarees scheme. He expressed dismay over opposition leaders instigating people to burn these sarees, falsely blaming their quality. KCR expressed confidence in the BRS government’s continued support for the weaver community and foresaw Sircilla’s transformation into another industrial hub like Sholapur.
The Chief Minister also mentioned improved water conditions in Sircilla, applauding the green fields and steady water flow due to the Upper Manair project. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to turning Sircilla into an educational hub and promised increased pension amounts and Rythu Bandhu support. KCR criticized the Congress party for its stance on power supply and the removal of the Dharani portal, which had streamlined land protection for farmers. He highlighted the significant improvements in power supply and industrial growth during BRS’s tenure.
KTR, the BRS Working President, underscored the transformation of Sircilla from a drought-prone region to a water surplus district, crediting the visionary KCR and the Kaleshwaram Project. He also noted the development of educational institutions and infrastructure in Sircilla, urging the people’s support in the upcoming elections.
