Hyderabad(Aug, 19): Mahesh M. Bhagwat-IPS, Addl. DGP, CID, Telangana, extended a commendable invitation to all the NBWs Special Execution Teams at the CID Headquarters. This gathering served as a platform to acknowledge and reward these teams for their exceptional efforts in executing long-pending Non-Bailable Warrants (NBWs) across various divisions of CID, including regional offices. The inception of the Special Execution Teams on February 28, 2023, under the vigilant leadership of B Ram Reddy, S.P, CMS, CID, TS, Hyderabad, marked a pivotal step towards this achievement. Over the span of six months, these teams displayed remarkable accomplishments:
- A total of 16 accused individuals, some of whom had been fugitives for over 30 years, were apprehended.
- The collection of death certificates of 8 absconding accused persons further solidified their resolution.
- Notably, 5 individuals who had been evading CID arrest for 17 years willingly surrendered due to the relentless efforts of the NBWs special execution teams.
- A comprehensive verification of 88 NBWs was conducted nationwide, culminating in the collection of absence certificates from relevant authorities.
The seven NBWs Special Execution Teams, led by distinguished officers including M.V. Shiva Rao, Inspector of Police, KPR. Rajeswar, Inspector of Police, M. Prasadh, Inspector of Police, P. Nagarjuna, Inspector of Police, G. Murali Kumar, Inspector of Police, P. Srinivasa Rao, Sub-Inspector of Police, and Younus Khan, ASI 1735, comprised a total of 27 members. Their unwavering dedication led them to traverse various locations across the country, apprehending absconding accused persons.
