Fit India Quiz Season 2 National Rounds to Premiere on Disney Hotstar from August 12

New Delhi(Aug, 10): The eagerly awaited National rounds of the second edition of the Fit India Quiz are set to captivate audiences on the popular OTT platform Disney Hotstar from August 12. With a lineup of 13 episodes, viewers can tune in every Saturday and Sunday at 8 am. Guiding viewers through the exciting journey will be hosts Tanay Tiwari and Tanya Purohit.

The spotlight shines on 72 exceptional students, representing two students from each of the 36 schools, who emerged victorious in their respective State rounds. In a recognition of their achievements, the winning schools from the State rounds received a noteworthy cash prize of Rs. 2.5 Lakh each. This commendable gesture came from the Hon’ble Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, at a Mumbai event held last month. Furthermore, the accomplished teams of two students from each winning school were presented with a collective reward of Rs. 25,000.

Amid this fierce competition, the stakes continue to rise as the prize money for the National winners soars to Rs. 25 Lakh. The top-notch students will collectively take home Rs. 2.5 Lakh, while the 1st and 2nd National runners-up schools will clinch remarkable cash rewards of Rs. 15 Lakh and Rs. 10 Lakh respectively.

Organized by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in partnership with the Sports Authority of India, the second edition of the Fit India Quiz delves into a comprehensive range of topics, celebrating India’s vibrant sports history, fitness culture, and nutritional awareness. The quiz was inaugurated on August 29th last year, on the occasion of National Sports Day, by Anurag Singh Thakur and the Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports and Ministry of Home Affairs, Nisith Pramanik. The launch was graced by the presence of the Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan.

This second edition witnessed a staggering response, showcasing a remarkable surge in participation. With 61,981 students hailing from 16,702 schools across 702 districts of India, the second edition witnessed a 70% increase in student participation compared to the first edition’s 36,299 students from 13,502 schools. The Fit India Quiz’s resounding success reaffirms its vital role in promoting health, fitness, and a robust sporting spirit among the youth of the nation.
