Minister KTR Slams PM Modi’s “Bundle of Lies” Speech During Warangal Tour

Telangana Youth Won’t Forgive PM Modi’s Betrayal of Scrapping ITIR Project, Says KTR

Hyderabad(July, 8) : Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Party Working President and Minister K.T. Rama strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of delivering a speech filled with falsehoods during his Warangal tour. KTR pointed out that instead of highlighting the accomplishments of the BJP-led Central Government in Telangana over the past nine years, the PM’s speech solely focused on criticizing the State government. KTR confidently stated that the people of Telangana would reject the BJP for the injustices the State has endured.

One particular issue that KTR addressed was the inadequate response to the demand for a Kazipet Coach Factory, as the Modi government approved a locomotive factory worth Rs. 20,000 crore for Gujarat instead. KTR regarded this decision as an insult to the people of Telangana and emphasized that they were noticing the neglect and discriminatory behavior of the Prime Minister towards their pending promises and demands. KTR expressed his belief that the people would aptly respond to the BJP at the appropriate time.

In response to the PM’s allegations regarding government job recruitment, KTR pointed out the irony that while the Telangana government had filled over 1,20,000 government jobs, the central government had failed to fill 16 lakh vacancies and had even privatized jobs in public sector undertakings. KTR also highlighted the resentment felt by Telangana’s youth towards PM Modi for scrapping the ITIR project, betraying their trust.

Furthermore, KTR suggested that instead of admonishing the State government, the Prime Minister should focus on addressing the pending bills with the governor and filling vacancies in central universities. He emphasized that unlike any other state in the country, the Telangana government had invested significantly in education, spending Rs. 1.25 lakhs on each student studying in Gurukul educational institutions.

KTR didn’t hold back in criticizing the Prime Minister, accusing him of boldly speaking lies and demanding an update on the assurances made by PM Modi to double farmers’ income. KTR found it inappropriate for the Prime Minister to discuss the agricultural sector, considering that he had introduced detrimental farm laws that had tragically led to the deaths of 700 farmers. KTR highlighted Telangana’s success in various agricultural indicators, making it a role model for the country.

KTR also questioned why the decision to waive farmers’ loans hadn’t been made, especially considering the significant loans provided to corporate cronies. The Minister expressed disappointment over the center’s obstruction in establishing a Tribal University, depriving tribal and adivasi youth of higher education opportunities despite the Telangana government’s efforts.

In response to Modi’s remarks about family rule and corruption, KTR asserted that hereditary politics could be observed in several BJP-ruled states and even in Modi’s cabinet. KTR emphasized that the Telangana leadership considered the entire state as a family and worked towards comprehensive development for all its people.

Dismissing the Prime Minister’s statements about central agencies investigating alleged corruption in the State government, KTR stated that they had nothing to fear from such threats and that the State government would continue working towards Telangana’s development and fulfilling the aspirations of its people.
