Hyderabad : Swami Bodhamayananda, the Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, has dedicated his life to spreading the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. His journey began during his school days when he was deeply influenced by their wisdom and ideals. In 1984, Swami Bodhamayananda joined the Ramakrishna Order in Bangalore and took monastic vows in 1993. Since then, he has been actively involved in various roles within the mission.
Between 1989 and 2010, Swami Bodhamayananda served in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Chennai, actively participating in youth activities and making a positive impact. From May 2010 to April 2022, he served as the director of the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, an extraordinary institution under the umbrella of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad. This institute, in line with Swami Vivekananda’s vision, focuses on character building and empowers school children and youth.
In April 2022, Swami Bodhamayananda took on the role of Secretary at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama in Visakhapatnam, one of the oldest centers of the Ramakrishna Mission in Andhra Pradesh. His tireless dedication and commitment continued to leave a lasting impact on the community.
Since July 4th, 2022, Swami Bodhamayananda has assumed the esteemed position of Adhyaksha of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad. In his role, he has strived to uplift lives and inspire individuals through the teachings of Vedanta and the principles laid down by Swami Vivekananda.
Over the years, Swami Bodhamayananda has conducted nearly 1200 seminars and classes, reaching out to approximately 600,000 students, teachers, managers, and others. His topics have covered a wide range, including human excellence, self-management, leadership skills, and Vedanta. These sessions have been conducted in schools, professional colleges, and various corporate settings across the nation. Swami Bodhamayananda has also had the privilege of interacting with scientists at prestigious research centers like Abdul Kalam Research Centre and DRDO in Hyderabad, as well as with legal professionals at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana High Courts. He has shared his insights with management associations, executives of public sector undertakings under the Government of India, chartered accountants, and even students and faculty at renowned institutions like IITs and IIMs.
At the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Hyderabad, a premier institute for youth empowerment, Swami Bodhamayananda has played a pivotal role in nurturing leadership qualities among the youth. He has personally trained over 1000 young individuals in the Swami Vivekananda way of character building and instilling a sense of service to the nation.
