Medak(May, 18) : The District Police Annual Sports Meet was inaugurated today at the District New Police Ground. The opening ceremony was grand. District SP P. Rohini Priyadarshini-IPS participated in the program as the chief guest. After that he first took the salute, Tupran sub-division, Medak sub-division A.R. The sports parade was organized by the HQ platoon under the direction of Sports Commander RI Achyuta Rao.
District SP P. Rohini Priyadarshini said that the policemen who always walk in khaki clothes under the pressure of work leave their work and go to the field to play sports. DSP, CI, SI, ASI, Head Constable, Constable, Home Guard etc., have advised police officers and personnel to fight unitedly to make their team win, maintain law and order and show talent in sports. Sports meet is being organized for the mental peace of the policemen who come on duty under continuous work pressure. Sports competitions will give new enthusiasm to the police fighting to maintain law and order.
She said that the annual game would provide relief to the police. She called upon to move forward by accepting victory and defeat equally. She said that victory is not important, they should play in the spirit of sportsmanship and participate in sports enthusiastically in an atmosphere of brotherhood. Everyone should play for victory, have sportsmanship and be responsible for bringing laurels to the district. She said that sports should always be a part of human life.
She said that sports contribute to mental happiness and everyone can participate in daily activities cheerfully and enthusiastically as everyone practices some sport. She said that she is very happy to organize this sports meet for the second time in the district. She congratulated the Armed Reserve officers who made these arrangements. Later, a pigeon was released into the air as an indicator of the start of the sports meet. Kabaddi, volleyball, 100m race, 200m race, 4×100 relay, tug of war, discus throw, shot foot, shuttle badminton competitions will be organized in this three-day sports meet for police officers and personnel.

On this occasion Medak DSP Saidulu, Thupran DSP, Yadagiri Reddy, AR DSP Srinivas, Achyuta Rao, R.I. Nageshwar Rao, District CIs, SIs, A, RSIs, and Madhav Reddy PD, Srinivasa Rao PD, Madhusudan PET, Devender Reddy PET, Vinod Kumar PET, Madhu PET and staff were participated.
