World’s largest steel plant to be set up in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Nippon Steel will set up its largest steel plant. The 30 million tonne capacity plant will be set up at Kendrapara in Odisha. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during his visit to Japan discussed with the head of Nippon Steel regarding the largest steel plant. The Nippon Steel Plant will benefit the people of the districts of Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur and Kendujhar.
CM Naveen Patnaik discussed with Nippon Steel chief Eiji Hashimoto. Naveen Patnaik said that this investment will help in the development of Odisha and increase in employment opportunities and revenue due to large steel plants. It will be a green field project or pollution free steel project.
