Hyderabad(Aug, 10):Â Today, on World Lion Day, Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad celebrated the occasion with enthusiasm and engagement. The park organized a series of engaging events to make the day truly memorable. Among the highlights were various competitions such as Drawing, Essay Writing, and Elocution, catering to school students and general visitors across Junior, Senior, and General categories. The event saw spirited participation, with around 120 students from 4 Government High Schools, 1 TMRES School, and Zoo visitors enthusiastically taking part in the competitions.
The prizes for these competitions were distributed by A. Nagamani, Deputy Curator of Nehru Zoological Park. During the event, A. Nagamani highlighted the park’s commitment to wildlife conservation, breeding, and education. She acknowledged the vital role played by Prashant Bajirao Patil, I.F.S., the Curator of Nehru Zoological Park, in organizing various ecological awareness days aimed at educating the youth about wildlife and its preservation. These initiatives have proven to be highly effective in spreading wildlife education and fostering a deeper connection between visitors and the natural world.
The occasion also provided a platform for several speakers to express their admiration for the exceptional maintenance and well-being of the animals under the care of the Zoo Management.
