Hyderabad: Commissioner DS Chauhan held a review meeting with the traffic department officials under the jurisdiction of Rachakonda Commissionerate at Neredmet.
The commissioner explained to the staff the priority of the traffic department in maintaining law and order. The commissioner said that the traffic police were the most visible to the common people in towns and cities, were available and had the opportunity to respond immediately. The officers were directed to work in coordination with the civil police and work towards crime control.
It is said that many crimes and road accidents in the cities are under control due to the traffic police who perform their duties on the roads even in hot and cold weather. The commissioner appreciated that they are performing their duties without considering the severe air pollution, putting their health at the forefront. On this occasion, the Commissioner said that the traffic problems in Rachakonda Commissionerate have reduced due to the new policies implemented at U-turns and various junctions.
During road accidents, traffic personnel should respond as soon as possible to help the injured and all traffic personnel should be trained in first aid. It is advised to perform duties in a friendly manner with common people. As the dry season is coming, all the staff are advised to take appropriate precautions to the officials and staff.
