Hyderabad: On August 21, the ruling BRS party in Telangana unveiled its list of 115 candidates for the upcoming elections. The party’s approach to representation is noteworthy, with three candidates from the Muslim community securing tickets, while other communities also find ample representation. Among these, 39 candidates belong to the Reddy community, while 12 candidates come from the Velma community. The list includes Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao, representing 12 segments, and 6 candidates from the Kamma segment. Additionally, a Brahmin and a Vishiya candidate, along with 23 BC, 19 SC, and 11 ST candidates are featured.
Notably, the three Muslim candidates who received tickets are Aamir Shakeel, a sitting MLA representing Bodhan Assembly Constituency, Salahuddin Lodhi from Charminar Assembly Constituency, and Inayat Ali Baqari from Bahadurpura Assembly Constituency in Hyderabad.
