Telangana DGP Dr. Jitender Announces Strict Measures to Combat Drug Supply, Additional Manpower to be Deployed
Hyderabad : In a decisive move to combat the drug menace, Telangana Director General of Police (DGP), Dr. Jitender IPS, has directed the Anti-Narcotics Bureau to intensify its efforts against the supply of narcotics across the state. During a special meeting at the DGP’s office on Thursday, attended by key officials, including Additional DGP (Law & Order) Mahesh M. Bhagwat IPS and Anti-Narcotics Bureau Director Sandeep Shandilya, the DGP emphasized the need for more stringent measures to curb drug distribution.
Dr. Jitender announced the deployment of additional manpower to bolster the bureau’s operations, underscoring the government’s commitment to eradicating drug supply networks. He stressed the importance of dismantling entire drug networks when suspects are apprehended and called for strict action, including the deportation of any foreign nationals involved in drug-related activities. The Anti-Narcotics Bureau Director welcomed the support and reaffirmed the bureau’s dedication to taking decisive action against drug offenders.
