Telangana Police Facilitates Online Workshop to Elevate Crime Detection Strategies

Hyderabad : On August 21, 2023, the Director-General of Police for Telangana State, Anjani Kumar-IPS, orchestrated a significant state-level online workshop aimed at advancing administrative efficiency and promoting collaboration within the police force. The workshop brought together the Commissionerates and Districts Crime Record Bureaus (CCRBs/DCRBs) to foster better coordination and share best practices. The initiative was facilitated by CID Chief Mahesh Bhagwat-IPS, who served as the main coordinator for this inaugural event.

The workshop provided an interactive platform for police officers to discuss various crucial topics, such as the prevention and detection of crime, efficient utilization of fingerprint bureau services, and the coordination of court monitoring. Participants explored subjects like the innovative DARPAN App for tracing missing persons and identifying unidentified bodies, the success stories of technology-driven policing initiatives, advancements in fingerprint technology, and the importance of efficient case tracking and judicial coordination. The event highlighted the significance of collaboration between functional verticals at both unit and police station levels, emphasizing the role of the Functional Competency Centre in enhancing operational effectiveness.

The success of the workshop was attributed to the dedication of officers from various units, including those working with State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), District Crime Records Bureau (DCRB), and the respective unit heads. The workshop ultimately aimed to improve the core functioning of the police department by facilitating the exchange of insights, knowledge sharing, and implementation of best practices across various facets of law enforcement.
