Hyderabad(Aug, 22): In a resolute demonstration of their commitment to justice, the Rachakonda Police have achieved a significant breakthrough in a deeply distressing gang rape case involving a minor. The incident, cataloged under Cr.No. 1211/2023, has resulted in the apprehension of multiple individuals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Among the accused, Abed-Bin-Khaled, also known as Abid, has been identified as the primary perpetrator. Aged 35 and employed as a mechanic, Abed resides at R/H No: 14-1-211, Seetharam Pet, Mangalhat, Hyderabad City. The involvement of A3) Mankala Mahesh, A4) M. Narsing, A5) Ashraf, A6) Md. Faizal, and A7) Md. Imran has also been ascertained. Notably, A2) Tahseen remains at large, and efforts to locate and apprehend him are ongoing.
The unsettling incident came to light on 21.08.2023 when a gang rape case was reported based on the victim’s courageous statement. The victim, a resident of Shanthi Nagar, Lalapet, Hyderabad, had been entrusted to the care of her cousin sister and two brothers for their well-being in Nandanavanam, just a week prior. On 19.08.2023, Abed’s unwelcome advances and demands were met with resolute rejection. Tragically, the situation escalated on the day in question at approximately 11AM. In a harrowing turn of events, Abed and his associates forcibly entered the victim’s residence. Abed, displaying aggressive intent, forcibly took her into a bedroom, restraining her physically and committing a heinous act of sexual assault. Adding to the horror, other accused individuals took turns assaulting her, wielding a knife to instill fear.
The Rachakonda Police swiftly swung into action, deploying specialized teams to bring the perpetrators to justice. On 22.08.2023, aided by credible intelligence, the principal suspect, Abed-Bin-Khaled @Abid, was apprehended by the dedicated special units near Santhosh Nagar. He was promptly taken into custody and transferred to the Meerpet Police Station.
During interrogation, Abed-Bin-Khaled @ Abid confessed his involvement in the abhorrent crime. Of particular significance, the police secured a knife as crucial evidence, corroborating his statement. This arrest serves as a poignant testament to the unwavering dedication of the police force in promptly ensuring justice for the victim.
