Prayagraj MP-MLA court sentenced mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed to life imprisonment in Umesh Pal kidnapping case. A fine of Rs 5,000 has also been imposed on him.

The court convicted Atiq Ahmed, Dinesh Pasi and Khan Soulat Hanif in this case. All the other 7 accused including Atiq Ahmed’s brother Ashraf were acquitted.
