BSF Recovers 3 Pakistani Drones and Heroin on Punjab Border
Punjab : In a major success against cross-border smuggling, vigilant Border Security Force (BSF) troops recovered three Pakistani drones and a packet of suspected heroin along the Punjab border on Saturday. Acting on specific intelligence, BSF personnel recovered two DJI Mavic-3 Classic drones from fields near villages Rajatal (Amritsar) and Gatti Rajoke (Ferozepur), while a third drone was recovered near village Daoke (Amritsar).
Additionally, a joint search with Punjab Police—based on disclosures made by a previously arrested smuggler—led to the recovery of 545 grams of suspected heroin from a field near village Dal in Tarn Taran. BSF officials suspect the drones crashed due to technical countermeasures deployed along the border.
These successful recoveries highlight the effectiveness of electronic safeguards and persistent vigilance by BSF troops in preventing narco-drone intrusions from across the border.
