Hyderabad : International Women’s Day celebrations were held at the police headquarters in Amber Peth. On this occasion, the women staff of various departments like Civil, AR, She Teams, Traffic, working under Rachakonda Commissionerate were organized various exciting programs like oration and singing competitions and were given certificates of appreciation and prizes.
Rachakonda Commissioner DS Chauhan IPS said that women are leading the society by playing a great role as mother, sister, wife and friend. He said that women are competing equally with men in all fields and achieving great success.
Everyone should be respectful towards women. He said that many measures are being taken for the protection of women in Rachakonda and arrangements have been made for women victims to file complaints bravely in all police stations. He warned that those who cause trouble to women and those who commit crimes against women will be severely punished. He said that teams of “She Teams” are available round the clock and perform women protection duties. It is advised to be careful from strangers on social media and report any harassment to the police immediately. It is said that women should face various problems faced in the society with courage and Rachakonda Commissionerate will always stand by women.
