Hyderabad(July, 19) : The Police of Ramgopalpet PS successfully apprehended a burglary gang consisting of individuals of Nepali nationality responsible for a house looting in Om Towers, Balajinagar, PG Road, Secunderabad. The gang managed to seize valuable stolen items, including cash amounting to Rs. 41,60,410/-, diamonds, gold items weighing approximately 2.8 kgs, and silver items weighing around 9.56 kgs. Other stolen possessions comprised 18 wristwatches, foreign currency in the form of US$ 10, Euros 120, and Dhiram 1001, as well as 9 smartphones, including 4 iPhones. Furthermore, an Activa vehicle and an Innova Car were also seized, valuing the entire loot at about Rs. 5 crores.
The accused individuals, listed with their respective details and roles, have been identified as the key perpetrators of the burglary. Their plan involved targeting a wealthy business person’s house in Om Towers while they were away. After executing the crime, the gang members escaped to Pune with the stolen goods, planning to cross the border into Nepal.
The investigation and surveillance efforts led to the arrest of some of the accused in Pune, while others were intercepted by the SSB at Barshola Check Post. The police team managed to capture crucial evidence, including CCTV footage and technical input, to trace the movements of the burglars. Notably, one of the accused, A3, sustained injuries and was unable to escape further, leading to his return to Hyderabad for medical treatment. The police also arrested A11, a taxi driver who had helped the accused in their escape.
As part of the operation, the police seized the stolen properties and arrested the apprehended accused. Three individuals, A4, A12, and A13, are currently absconding, while the remaining accused are set to be produced before the court for judicial remand.
The successful operation was conducted under the vigilant supervision of Chandana Deepthi IPS, DCP North Zone, and other dedicated police officers from different divisions, ensuring that the burglary gang was brought to justice.
