Hyderabad(Oct, 18): The Methodist College of Engineering and Technology blossomed with the vibrant hues of Bathukamma festivities on the auspicious day of October 18, 2023. This traditional floral festival deeply rooted in Telangana’s culture and heritage graced the MCET campus, captivating over 500 enthusiastic faculty and students who immersed themselves in the celebrations.
The event showcased a beautiful blend of diversity, as students from different states donned traditional attire, adding to the colorful spectacle of Bathukamma. With great care and devotion, students crafted Bathukamma, symbolizing the eternal beauty of Goddess Gauri. Harmonious Bathukamma songs, intrinsic to Telangana’s culture, filled the air, infusing the atmosphere with joy and vitality.
The festival’s essence, adorned in flowers, lively hues, and jubilant moments, was amplified by the grace of girl students dressed in traditional ‘Langa Oni’ and sarees, embellished with exquisite gold jewelry. The Director, Principal, and Dean of MCET commended the students for their enthusiastic participation, acknowledging their significant role in making the Bathukamma celebrations a resounding triumph.
