Let us know who is Himanshu Tiwari and what is his background ?
Himanshu Tiwari is an inspiring and dynamic 32-year-old political leader with a strong educational background, holding a Masters in Computers from Varanasi. Hailing from a family with a legacy of freedom fighters in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, he has inherited a deep sense of social responsibility and commitment to the welfare of the people.
Since 2015, Himanshu has been actively involved in farmers’ agitation at the national level, showing his dedication to the cause of farmers’ rights and livelihood. His leadership skills and organizing abilities were evident during the nationwide agitation against the Land Acquisition Ordinance, where he played a pivotal role in coordinating farmers’ movements across the country.
During 2020-2021, Himanshu was part of the United Kisan Morcha and served as a member of the National Executive of SKM (Samyukta Kisan Morcha), a prominent platform that vehemently opposed the three controversial anti-farmer laws.
One notable achievement in his political journey was the launch of a 21-day Padayatra from Champaran in Bihar to Banaras, Uttar Pradesh, known as the Jan Jagran Padayatra. Through this initiative, he mobilized thousands of people, showcasing his ability to connect with the masses and address their concerns effectively.
Currently, Himanshu Tiwari is an integral part of Team KCR, supporting Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. As the BRS National General Secretary, he will actively contribute to the organizational workings of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS Party), further strengthening its presence and objectives.
