Jubilee Hills By-Election Will Decide Congress’ Fate in Telangana : KTR

Hyderabad : Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President and former Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a fierce attack on the Congress government, declaring that the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election will decide the fate of the ruling party in Telangana. Addressing a gathering at Telangana Bhavan, where senior BJP leader Cherka Mahesh joined the BRS, KTR said voters now face a clear choice — “between the car that builds and the bulldozer that destroys.”

Accusing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of corruption and betrayal, KTR alleged that the Congress government has failed to deliver on its poll guarantees while borrowing over ₹2.3 lakh crore. He claimed the Congress is using “looted money” to buy votes in Jubilee Hills, offering ₹10,000 per vote. KTR warned that public anger is rising over unfulfilled promises on pensions, housing, and fee reimbursement.

He also criticized the BJP as “a party of no relevance in Telangana” and urged voters not to waste their votes. Taking aim at the Congress on BC reservations, he accused the Chief Minister of “knowingly misleading” the public, saying such laws must be passed in Parliament, not the Assembly.

KTR further alleged that Revanth Reddy had deceived former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin over an MLC promise and “betrayed Muslims” on issues like burial grounds. Concluding his speech, KTR appealed to voters to make Jubilee Hills the turning point for Telangana, asserting, “This election is not just about one seat — it’s about the state’s direction. Choose wisely — the car that builds or the bulldozer that destroys.”
