Hyderabad : HYDRAA will play a pivotal role in ensuring environmentally sustainable urban development, said Commissioner A.V. Ranganath, IPS, during the launch of the HRCS India website at the organization’s L.B. Nagar office on Thursday. Highlighting HYDRAA’s mission to safeguard water bodies, drainage systems, parks, and government lands from encroachments, the Commissioner stated that transparency and awareness are key to sustainable growth.
He also warned citizens to be vigilant while buying properties, citing concerns over fraudulent land sales on government lands using fake permissions. Emphasizing HYDRAA’s public initiatives, he announced that details regarding lake boundaries and public land will soon be made accessible online. Furthermore, six lakes in the city are slated for beautification by the monsoon season to help combat urban flooding.
Addressing the real estate slowdown, Ranganath pointed to global economic trends but expressed optimism, noting a potential recovery. He lauded HRCS India’s efforts in promoting consumer awareness and helping banks finance authentic projects.
