Hyderabad : The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner’s Task Force has successfully cracked down on the use and sale of banned Chinese Manja, known for its threats to human safety, wildlife, and the environment. Over 107 cases have been registered, and 148 individuals have been apprehended in raids conducted since October 2024, resulting in the seizure of 7,334 bobbins worth ₹88 lakh.
This enforcement, led by Commissioner CV Anand and DCP YVS Sudeendra, has nearly eradicated the availability of the hazardous material, ensuring a safer festive season. Citizens are urged to adhere to the ban and prioritize safety during kite flying.
