Hyderabad(Dec, 28) : Hyderabad City Police Commissioner K. Sreenivasa Reddy kicked off a “Say No To Drug Campaign” at the ongoing Pulsation-2023 Annual Cultural, Literary, Social, and Food Festival. This joint initiative involves three prominent medical institutions: Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. VRK Women’s Medical College, and Ayaan Institute of Medical Sciences. The campaign featured a 2-kilometer rally starting from Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences to TSPA Junction, with around 2000 medical students, doctors, and teaching staff participating. Commissioner K. Sreenivasa Reddy, along with the medical community, urged citizens to say no to drugs.
Pulsation-2023, an eight-day event, incorporates social initiatives such as Swacch Bharat, Haritha Haram, and Blood Donation. Dr. Nasihuddin from Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences expressed gratitude to Commissioner Sreenivasa Reddy for launching the “Say No To Drug Campaign.” Dr. Nasih emphasized the detrimental effects of drugs on the human body, especially among teenagers, and stressed the importance of citizens taking moral and ethical responsibility to combat drug abuse. The inaugural function was attended by Dr. B. D. Paulson IPS, Addl. Director General of Police Uttar Pradesh, Jaber Patel, President of India Arab Friendship Foundation, and Ateeq Siddiqui.
