Harish Rao Criticizes ₹20,000 Crore Cost of RRR, Calls for Immediate Action

Harish Rao Slams Government for ₹20,000 Crore Burden Due to RRR Mismanagement

Hyderabad : Former Minister and MLA Harish Rao criticized the government over its handling of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project, citing a ₹20,000 crore burden on the people of Telangana. He expressed concerns about delays in land acquisition and alleged that changes in the southern section’s alignment were made to benefit influential individuals.

Rao emphasized that while the central government was prepared to take on the project, the state’s decision to assume responsibility primarily benefits contractors. He also demanded immediate action on the Assembly Constituency Development Program (ACDP) funds and accused the government of failing to deliver on its promises, including schemes like Rythu Bharosa and the distribution of fish seed.
