GRP and RPF Joint Operation Nets Notorious Offender in Secunderabad

Interstate Thief Arrested by GRP and RPF Secunderabad; Gold Worth ₹21 Lakhs Recovered

Hyderabad: On 21st November 2024, the Secunderabad Railway Police (GRP) in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprehended a notorious interstate thief, Ranveer Singh (48), a resident of North West Delhi, at Platform No. 01. Gold ornaments weighing approximately 26.5 tulas, valued at ₹21 lakhs, were recovered from his possession.

Ranveer Singh, along with four absconding accomplices—Samsheer, Sumit, Satveer, and Jagadeesh, all residents of Haryana—was involved in multiple theft cases in Secunderabad and Hyderabad railway police jurisdictions. The gang, habituated to criminal activities, targeted various locations for their thefts.

The arrested individual, along with the seized property, has been presented before the  Court. The operation was successfully executed under the leadership of B. Saieashwar Goud, IRP/SHO, and M.A. Majeed SIRP, in coordination with RPF officials led Sri Bhavani Shankar Saraswat IPF/SC. Senior officers, including Gone Sandeep and S.N. Jawed, supervised the operation. IGP Railways and Road Safety, K. Ramesh Naidu, IPS, commended the team for their commendable efforts and announced suitable rewards for their achievements.
